Meet the breeder

I'm Rachel J., the breeder behind Bernedoodle Buddies located in Bellville, OH. Our bernedoodles are intentionally bred for health and temperament, with each day centered around age-appropriate enrichment and early learning. We build confident, well-prepared puppies from the start. We livestream so you can be part of your puppy’s journey—from the very beginning!

Q. & A. with Rachel

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our journey into breeding began with our Bernese, Greta, who inspired us to share that same love with others. We fell in love with the Bernese Mountain Dog and Bernedoodle for their gentle, family-oriented temperament. With mentorship from a longtime friend and experienced breeder, we built our program with purpose, education, and a passion for raising exceptional family companions.
  • What makes your program special?

All of our puppies are raised in our home by our family of five, with hands-on care and training built into daily life. We follow Puppy Culture & BAB and work with each puppy one-on-one at least three times daily. We begin potty training, crate training, manding, and leash work—creating confident, well-prepared companions. Each puppy is temperament evaluated prior to selection.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies are standard size. Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include black and white and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
