It's go time! Winnie has had 6 puppies so far, and all look healthy. Being her first litter, she seems a bit bewildered by what's happening, but she's doing a good job!

They're here! Puppies arrived early this morning, and all are doing well. I'm so proud of Jules - it was a simple, uncomplicated delivery and she's such a good mama. She had 5 boys and 4 girls. More info coming in the next few days!

Honey, Nora & Cal have their annual eye exams today!

Mackenzie B.
Jules is ready to pop! She's in good spirits, but definitely running out of room in there. Any day now!

It's official! We confirmed this afternoon that Winnie is in fact pregnant with her first litter. Can't wait to see how beautiful these puppies turn out!

It's official! We confirmed Jules' pregnancy via ultrasound today, although I was already pretty positive she had puppies on board. We also drew blood for a nomograph test, so we will know the levels of maternal antibodies she will pass along to the puppies. She's due at the end of July!

They're here! Juliet had 10 beautiful puppies early this morning, and everyone is doing well. Individual pictures will be up likely tomorrow!

I'm so proud of Nora! At only a year & a half old, she earned her therapy dog certification. Now we'll start visits and work towards her title!

Mackenzie B.
It's been a fun summer so far for our pack! Winnie & Cal were introduced to the dock and took to swimming well, the chiropractor paid all the dogs a visit, and we've celebrated a few birthdays - Maisie turned 6, Annie will be 12 later this week, and Winnie has her big second birthday later this month! All the breeding dogs will have their yearly eye exams next month, while Nora & Winnie will also get their OFA cardiac exams. Crossing our fingers that all results come back normal, including Winnie's hip & elbow finals! 🤞We're still waiting for Juliet to come into heat - hopefully any day now!

Mackenzie B.
Bea's pregnancy is progressing well and she is getting SO big! Her belly isn't too far off the ground 😳 Her energy & mobility are great, although she's definitely got a bit of a waddle going on. We're prepping her whelping area now so she has time to settle in!

We were very happy with our experience with Bertke AKC Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs. Mackenzie was quick and easy to correspond with, and she was always helpful in communication. She shared lots of liter updates and photos so we always felt in the loop. As we got closer to receiving our puppy, she was very detailed in the information that she sent in regards to health updates, food, etc.. We've had our puppy for two weeks now and she is settling in very well. We are very happy with our new addition and overall experience.

Our experience with Mackenzie from Bertke AKC Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs was outstanding! Mackenzie kept us up to date on the puppies and then gave us clear directions before we picked up the puppy. She matched us up with the perfect puppy, too! Our "Boomer" is healthy, well-adjusted, and a really great buddy. It is obvious that Mackenzie cared for her dogs!
