Meet the breeder

I'm Kathy B., the breeder behind Bert's Doodles located in Jeddo, MI. We raise our Doodles in our home in the Thumb of Michigan, and focus on producing healthy, well-adjusted puppies. We prioritize the genetic health of our parent dogs. ENS methods applied from Days 3-16. Potty training begins at 3 wks of age. Pups are regularly exposed to new stimuli so they are well-prepared for the world around them. Crate exposure begins around weeks 5-6.

Q. & A. with Kathy

  • Why did you start breeding?

We bred our daughter's beautiful F1 Labradoodle to our F1 Goldendoodle male after they were genetically tested through Embark with clear results. The pups were exceptional, and we have had positive feedback from many puppy buyers.
  • What makes your program special?

Pups are raised in our home and we only have 1-2 litters per year. We raise our litters with ENS and ESI curriculum, handle the pups daily to monitor their health and do multiple exposure activities. Potty training begins at 3 weeks with a potty box, & outside when a little older. Crate introduction at 5 weeks, free trial Trupanion membership.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Double Doodle puppies are medium size. Goldendoodle puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Double Doodle puppies include brown, chocolate, and black. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Bert’s Doodles was so easy to work with and offered flexibility on when I could pick up my puppy. They had all her paperwork ready to go for me and even gave a few days supply of food and a snuggle puppy to help keep her calm at night. As a first time dog owner I had a lot of questions and Bert’s Doodles was so helpful.
