I'm Jennifer G., the breeder behind Best Friends Bassets located in Torrington, CT. Our Basset Hounds have amazing bloodlines. We have beautiful puppies that exceed the breed standard. We love what we do and are committed to producing well-bred, healthy puppies for loving homes. Our puppies are raised with love in our home. They are extremely well socialized. They are raised with kids including a special needs child so they are taught to be gentle from an early age. Our puppies have that wonderful Basset personality that is sure to steal your heart. Why did you start breeding?
My breeder, who is a Vet, suggested I start my own business. We got an amazing male from her and we worked with her to get the perfect female to have puppies that meet or exceed breed standard. We then waited again for her to have another perfect female to join our pack. We work with our breeder and our vet to provide top quality Basset Hounds to families.What makes your program special?
Tiramisu is 100% European. Nutella is 3/4 European and 1/4 American. Their puppies are very long bodied, long ears and wonderful saggy skin. We have tri color and brown and white puppies. All our puppies are extremely well socialized with kids and dogs. 2 of our dogs have won best in breed in dog shows and 1 dog is therapy dog of the year in her state. One of our puppies is currently the record holder in Missouri for dog with the longest ears!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brown and white and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

"This price includes health guarantee, Vet check, vaccinations, deworming and can be microchipped. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of sex, color or size. Deposit will be refunded only if a situation has come up that is beyond the owners control and they are unable to provide a loving home for the puppy. If you are uncertain about purchasing a puppy, do not put a deposit down on a puppy. Getting a puppy is a big commitment. It’s a lot of work. Think it through."
