I'm Emily A., the breeder behind Big A Kennels located in Wendell, ID. We raise our dogs with love at our home. We have high expectations for our pups and strive to put each one into a loving family. We commit ourselves towards preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

Why did you start breeding?
I have enjoyed working with animals all my life and when I expressed interest in breeding dogs my husband was excited. He has always been involved in genetics and breeding of horses and livestock so he handles selection and evaluation of dogs for our breeding program. Our son and I do the day to day puppy raising.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Dilute Retriever puppies include silver, charcoal, and fox red. Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

“Price varies dependent on breed. Puppies other than sheepadoodles come with AKC registration. Our pups have a veterinary check, 1st vaccinations, regular worming, and microchip. Prices vary depending on breed.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
