I'm Erika S., the breeder behind Big Grove Farms located in Newark, IL. These dogs are an amazing prey driven breed that will work when asked but also have an “off” switch. As a whole, TRT’S are a fairly healthy breed. However, every breed has something that should be tested for. We do our best to keep up with anything new that may show up and regularly test our adult dogs.
Q. & A. with Erika
Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding dogs after we visited a dog show for the first time. We felt we would prefer to show homegrown offspring.
What makes your program special?
What makes our breeding program special is we strive to have only genetic tested dogs be in our breeding program. We work really hard to make sure the right puppies get into the right homes. Our goal is health, good temperament, and conformation.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
