I'm Shawn Z., the breeder behind Birdie's Nest located in Medford, OR. After six years in Uganda, where we started a farm, our family settled in Oregon with our four children, Labradoodle, and two cats. We later welcomed Birdie, an F1 Cavapoo from Pennsylvania. She and a small red Poodle had six wonderful puppies, beginning our family’s breeding journey.

Why did you start breeding?
Our journey into breeding F1 - F1b Cavapoos grew from our family’s love for animals and a desire to raise happy, healthy puppies in a caring home environment. Our 13-year-old daughter dreams of becoming a veterinarian, and she brings incredible curiosity, compassion, and dedication to the process. For us, this is more than breeding puppies—it’s a meaningful family experience centered on responsible care and helping each puppy begin life surrounded by love.What makes your program special?
What makes our breeding program special is the love, attention, and family involvement behind every puppy. Our F1b Cavapoo puppies are raised in our home, where they receive individual care and become familiar with everyday family life from the beginning.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Shawn
Shawn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Shawn partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Includes vaccinations and deworming. Our price is $3k for females and $2.5k for males. The deposit gives you your selection spot in the liter.”
