I'm Blakely D., the breeder behind Blakener’s Bernese mountain dogs located in Tennessee. I strive to produce quality puppies for families that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive and have wonderful temperaments. As a breeder, I feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize the overall health and temperament of each of my puppies and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for prior to joining their forever homes. I participate in AKC confirmation and am an owner-handler as I love to compete and have fun with my dogs. I have been around show dogs my whole life. My dad has been in Rottweilers since he was 18, so I have grown up around dogs. My dogs are my family and are companions first, show dogs second.
Q. & A. with Blakely
Why did you start breeding?
I have grown up around the breeding & dog show scene my whole life. My dad has been in Rottweilers for 35 years, so I have been going to shows since I was a little girl. I have a huge passion and love for dogs and keeping the breed standard in mind with my lines and pedigrees.
What makes your program special?
My dogs and puppies are considered members of my family, and they get the best care I can possibly provide. My commitment is to provide you with a professional and friendly puppy-buying experience, and that includes always having responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming my puppies. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I aim to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Bernese Mountain Dog line.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
