I'm Danielle L., the breeder behind Blue Diamond Basenjis located in Cleveland, GA. Hobby basenji breeder in Georgia, USA. It all started with importing our first girl from Europe. We looked for the best championship basenji bloodline with perfect show quality conformations, an overall excellent character for families, and all the OFA clear/clear health tests. Staying true to the basenji standards. Family raised basenjis in our home with all our kids. We wanted a rarity like a blue diamond. Crate trained, but never kenneled. Just an added family member!

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Danielle partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“We try to place each puppy with the perfect homes. Puppies are match once old enough to see the temperament and personalities each one has. Typically around 7-8 weeks old. We also have the right to the first pick of the litter. ”

Parent health testing
Excellent level

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Fanconi Syndrome, PRA, Basenji Type
