Meet the breeder

I'm Bekah M., the breeder behind BluMoon Shepherds located in Oakland, TN. BluMoon Shepherds is my heart project. We aim to produce great quality, non-standard German Shepherds with great temperaments and quality lines. Our dogs are, above all, very loved and adored animals. We see our fur babies, as well as the produced babies, as our children. Our priority is to improve the standards and lines.

Q. & A. with Bekah

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with this breed, MANY years ago. I realized that they usually got a bad reputation before they had a chance to prove themselves. At that moment, I decided I wanted to be their advocate, breed, train, and hopefully change others' outlooks on them. They are AMAZING animals, SO smart and so eager to please!!
  • What makes your program special?

I would not say that my program is any more special than others. I feel we all love these animals. I see this as a passion, a mission if you will. To better the breed and hopefully one day, one of my offspring will be a champion for AKC, and show that non-standard Shepherds are just as capable of being "Best in Show" 😀
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include stock, plush, and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, black and tan, isabella, blue, and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
