I'm Megan G., the breeder behind Boehm's Chihuahuas located in Reynoldsburg, OH. We strive for excellence in our breeding program with focus on the AKC Chihuahua standard. Our goal is to improve the breed through selection, commitment, dedication, and integrity.

Why did you start breeding?
Dog shows are for the purpose of evaluating breeding stock . From showing I decided to breed my own show dogs. All of our litters are for the purpose of giving us a new Chihuahua to take into the show ring and improve the Chihuahua breed. We select and keep a very small number of dogs for our program . I apply genetic principals and a variety of breeding methods to my program to always be improving.What makes your program special?
I am very selective in choosing the sire and dams of my puppies. Either one or both parents are champions, and have top producing pedigrees. We have earned several awards including "Best in Show", "Best of Breed" (from both The Westminster Kennel Club and The Chihuahua Club of America), and "Best Stud Dog". Owned and bred number one chihuahuas.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Excellent level

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
