I'm Corissa L., the breeder behind Bons Temps Catahoulas located in Pittsford, NY. Our dogs are considered members of our family, and we give each dog and puppy all the attention and care that they require to live happy, healthy lives. Through creating an environment of mental stimulation, socialization and care for our puppies, we know we are able to give each pup the very best start to reach their potential, express their unique personality, and have a loving, well-rounded temperament.
Q. & A. with Corissa
Why did you start breeding?
Catahoula Leopard Dogs are an incredible breed, and I decided to start my breeding program in order to preserve the wonderful qualities we found in our dogs. They excel both in their work and as companions. We are dedicated to improving our lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come. It would be our pleasure to help you take the next step in adding this wonderful new addition to your family!
What makes your program special?
My dogs are raw fed and minimally vaccinated and have proven to have excellent working instincts ( herding, baying, treeing, guarding and nose work). They are both DM and OFA (hips) tested.
The litters are registered with NALC and UKC as well as weaned on raw diet, microchipped, delayed vaccination available upon request.
They will be reared using ENS (early neurological stimulation), ESI (early scent introduction), and raised in home with lots of socialization with children and various animals as well as environment enrichment. Pups from our past litters have gone on to show, hunt/track, participate in water sports, work on farms and live life as wonderful family companions
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
