Why did you start breeding?
My journey began behind the scenes, helping a close friend find the perfect homes for her litters. As a broker, I fell in love with the process of matching families with their new best friends. I saw the smiles, the excitement, and the deep bond that starts the moment a puppy is placed in a child’s arms. That experience inspired me to step up and start Bougie South Kennels.
What makes your program special?
The Bougie South Way: Raised with Love & Science At Bougie South Kennels, "home-raised" isn't just a phrase—it’s our lifestyle. Our puppies are born and raised right in the heart of our home, getting used to the sights, sounds, and snuggles of a busy family from day one.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include merle, white, apricot, black and tan, tri-color, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kelsey

Kelsey has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Kelsey partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $4,000 - $5,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

To ensure our puppies go to the most dedicated homes, we require a non-refundable reservation deposit. This deposit is your commitment to your future family member.”

Kelsey may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
