Meet the breeder

I'm Sam H., the breeder behind Bravura Bernese Mountain Dog located in Alpharetta, GA. We are a small breeding program that believes in breeding quality puppies from a lineage of great European pedigree's and also tested for any genetic faults. All of our dogs live in our house as family members and have a great life running our property.

Q. & A. with Sam

  • Why did you start breeding?

We adopted out first Bernese Mountain Dog in 2016. She was the best dog we ever had. Sadly we lost her at young age. Then we started our search for the best healthy Bernese we can acquire from Europe. We breed to preserve and help the excellent genes going forward.
  • What makes your program special?

We have selected the best imported European sire and dams that we can acquire. The grandmother of Ruby was Europe World female champion in 2021. Our puppies inherit their mother great confirmation qualities and friendly personality. Parents are heath tested and have good / excellent hips. Many of the ancestors have lived past 11 years with good hips and elbows.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black rust and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Our experience with Sam H was wonderful. We live 4 states away and he was kind enough to drive her partway so we only had a 12 hour return drive. We had received pictures and regular updates along the way. Our puppy has been healthy and wonderful. She is our 5 th Berner. We are still in touch and send updates. Sam really cares about his pups.
