I'm Jennifer H., the breeder behind Brisby Bordoodles located in Fredericktown, OH. I can honestly say our dogs are happy, healthy, active farm dogs that live life to the fullest. It has been said that the physical and emotional health of the mother will affect the health of her puppies and I can assure you that our dogs are healthy and well loved! They have proven to us that Border Collies and Poodles are not only two of the smartest and most trainable dog breeds in the world, but also two of the most loving, affectionate and devoted! We have a gorgeous ABCA & AKC registered blue merle border collie (Blue) and three beautiful AKC registered standard poodle girls (Cali, Gina & Lyla). All parents are Genetic health tested through Paw Print and Gensol. My puppies are my passion and I can not wait to share our Brisby Bordoodles with the world! Puppies will come to you with ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation), early socialization with children, adults and elderly, crate trained, basic commands, beginning potty training, vet check, first set of vaccinations and a Brisby Bordoodle take home package and pedigree.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Having owned poodles in the past, I fell in love with this smart, dedicated and intensely affectionate breed, then add the superb intelligence, loyalty and work ethic of the Border Collie and it was a "no brainer". Their puppies have been amazing! Our adults were hand chosen for their intelligence, sweet dispositions and beauty, along with their great health and pedigrees.

  • What makes your program special?

    We stand behind our puppies and are very passionate about raising healthy, happy, well socialized puppies. We give them positive experiences and lots of love. My puppies are extremely affectionate and have a strong desire to please. They transition easily into their new homes and the icing on the cake is that they are beautiful and low to non-shedding. Our puppy parents become family and I get regular updates on all of my past puppies.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Bordoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Bordoodle puppies include lilac, black, white and blue merle, white and black, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jennifer

Jennifer has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jennifer partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,650 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price is $1900 for solid colors and $2750 for merle coat colors. A $250 deposit is required to reserve a puppy. Deposits are non-refundable unless there is an issue with the puppy or you are on a wait-list longer than 6 months without the opportunity to choose a puppy.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome, Cohen Syndrome (TNS), Sensory Neuropathy, Border Collie Type (SN), Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 5 (NCL5), Border Collie Type, Intestinal Cobalamin Malabsorption (IGS CUBN Exon 8), Border Collie Type, Dental Hypomineralization (DH), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    After extensive research, I chose to get a dog from Jen, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. What stood out most was Jen's transparency about the puppies’ mom and her genuine passion for what she does. This isn’t a business for her; it’s a labor of love. Thanks to her dedication, Aurora is a happy, well-behaved puppy. Aurora took to crate training seamlessly—she whines for no more than a minute before calming down. She already responds to her name, sits on command, and as long as Arpan and I take her out regularly, she’s accident-free. Aurora is incredible with people of all ages, from adults to toddlers. She doesn’t jump on anyone or bark; the most she’ll do is whine softly for attention. She’s also wonderful with other dogs, playing enthusiastically but knowing when it’s time to rest. Aurora is truly the dream puppy. Jen, as a breeder, is equally exceptional. She answers all our questions and even provides recommendations for Aurora’s favorite treats. Beyond that, she fosters a real sense of community among dog owners. She stays in touch with everyone who adopts one of her puppies and organizes fun events like a holiday-themed photo contest, which had participation from about 50 Brisby Bordoodle owners. Adopting a Brisby Bordoodle is more than bringing home a dog—it’s joining a supportive and connected community Jen has created. We’re so grateful for her. Aurora has brought us so much joy that Arpan and I are already talking about adopting a second dog from Jen so Aurora can have a sibling.
