I'm Marleen C., the breeder behind BryMar Chinese Cresteds located in Florida. I have been breeding dogs for over 25 years. I got my first Chinese Crested 5 years ago and absolutely fell in love with the breed. I now focus on breeding Chinese Crested and aim to breed as close as possible to the AKC standard. My goal is to product beautiful show dogs and wonderful companions.

Why did you start breeding?
I have shown Morgan show horses for most of my life, but as I got older, working with horses became more physically demanding, which led me to transition into the dog show world. I began with Miniature poodles and later transitioned to Chinese Cresteds. I fell in love with Chinese Cresteds fun, corky, happy personality.What makes your program special?
I produce very few puppies, which allows me to closely monitor and support each one as they mature. My breeding dogs are carefully selected from select kennels across the country with generations of healthy, sound dogs behind them. I strongly believe in the importance of genetics and breed with pedigree as a guiding foundation. I am proud to work with and preserve the breed.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include powderpuff and hairless coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Marleen has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Marleen partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

Price
“Puppies are sold on limited registration and spay neuter contracts unless puppy is a show prospect. Show home will be vetted separately and only show quality puppies will be placed in show prospect homes. Deposits are non refundable but transferrable to another puppy if need be.”

Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Primary Lens Luxation (PLL), Chondrodystrophy (CDDY and IVDD Risk) with or without Chondrodysplasia (CDPA)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
