I'm Diana D., the breeder behind Büserhaus Working Dogs located in Orlando, FL. Our puppies have the temperament to be amazing family members and the drive and trainability to do the job they were bred to do. Our love for this breed sparked our interest to start sharing puppies with families wanting both the perfect pet and a reliable working dog. We’re dedicated to preserving the breed standard and natural abilities of these amazing dogs.
Q. & A. with Diana
Why did you start breeding?
I have found that the best reward comes from raising and competing your own dog from a puppy. It can often be difficult to find a breeder that truly believes in preserving the original SV German Shepherd Standard (both parents need a minimum of IGP1, cleared orthopedics, Breed Surveyed, Show Rating, AD, and correct dentition). We strive to produce sound puppies that can compete in any venue, at every level, while meeting the actual German standard (not the Americanized version). As competitors ourselves, it's important that we continue to produce puppies we ourselves would hold onto and compete.
What makes your program special?
As a hobby breeder, I am with you and your puppy's journey for life. That journey starts from the moment your little one is born. Büserhaus puppies are raised on puppy culture, started in all 3 phases of IGP, exposed to children, cats, other dogs, various surfaces, and toys.
Each puppy will have their own album on our Facebook page (link below) that follows their journey with weekly photos and videos. I use Jona Decker’s PAWS Working Dog Evaluation. This test evaluates for Possessiveness, Attention, Willingness, and Strength. PAWS was specifically designed to help working dog trainers identify the most promising working puppy in the litter. The results of each puppy's test and individual videos will also be available. I do this so that buyers can pick their puppies with full transparency.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes our unmatched guarantee, AKC & USCA registration, microchip, first round of vaccinations, deworming, DM testing, puppy culture, & started in all 3 phases of Schutzhund.
For starters, we have a 26-month full-money back guarantee for congenital defects Hips, Elbows, AND Spine. Get your money back AND keep your beloved pet. Unlike other breeders, I do not believe in uprooting a dog from its loving home by making you return it for your money back or replacement puppy. All Büserhaus puppies are DM tested prior to receiving deposits. On top of allll this....we also have a performance title money-back program up to the purchase price of the dog.
. No deposits will be received until the puppies are 2 weeks old. All our puppies are priced the same regardless of color, size, and DM status. Deposit does not guarantee you first pick. Our kennel is not first come, first serve. I have raised every one of my working dogs from 8 week old puppies. I hand picked each one. I take several things into consideration when placing puppies. As much as we want every puppy in a litter to be high level working potential, this isn't always true. So I will place puppies into working homes first. Proven IGP working homes get first pick behind vom Büserhaus. Followed by proven alternate sport homes. New working homes will be next, then active pet homes, and then finally the traditional pet home.
While this is the order in which puppies are placed, I believe that there needs to be an emotional connection with a puppy from the start to be successful in the home. So I take this into consideration as well when looking at placements.”

Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Büserhaus Working Dogs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Lumbosacral Transitional Vertebra (LTV), Spine (OFA, FCI), Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
