I'm CANDY C., the breeder behind Buck Wild 4 Bassets located in Shelbyville, MI. It is our goal to produce adorable, affectionate Basset Hound puppies that are healthy, well-tempered, and make wonderful companions. We are a small, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. We cherish all of our animals and enjoy sharing the love of a Basset Hound with other individuals and families!

What makes your program special?
We have one male and two female bassethounds on site. Our male and one female is solid black and black and white. Our second female is a black/white/brown tri color. Our goal is to provide gorgeous, unique black and white pups with excellent health and temperament to make great family/kid friendly pets. All three parents have had genetic testing done to insure good health for parents and pups.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black tan and white, black white and brown, black brown and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from CANDY

CANDY has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, CANDY partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Families that have made a deposit can visit their chosen puppy after they have received their first shots. IF for any reason ty are unhappy with your puppy choice, you may either pick from a puppy that has not been chosen (if available) OR wait for the next litter to be born. We cannot guarantee color, sex, or number of pups in subsequent litters or exact date subsequent litters will be born. The mother dog and puppies health are our main concern.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes copy of mother and fathers registration and genetic testing, deworming at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks, first puppy shots and vet check, dew claw removal, puppy passport book, and photo book. . All puppies are the same price regardless of color or size. First person to make deposit gets first pick and so on. Deposit is non-refundable but can be used towards a future puppy if arrangements have been made.”

Contract & health guarantee

CANDY may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
