Due Oct. 2026
I'm Makayla H., the breeder behind Buckelwürmer German Shepherds located in Encampment, WY. We a small, family oriented breeder. We breed for health, temperament, & to preserve GSDs. Our pups are raised with ENS & are also evaluated for drive & needs before being placed with their new families. All our puppies will go to homes who are at least active! Sport homes are preferred!

Why did you start breeding?
What makes your program special?
What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Where do your breeding dogs live?

These dogs are already reserved or have gone home.

Makayla has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Makayla partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“Everyone goes through a temperament test with a stranger to them. And then once temperaments are evaluated, I will match puppies to their new homes based on what the New Home is looking for in their dog”

“All of my puppies from the same litter are the same price at 8 weeks. Deposit will hold your spot for that litter. Deposits are non-refundable. 8+ weeks price increases due to training. Deposit is non-refundable and goes towards the total purchase price. I don’t accept deposits until the litter is confirmed via ultrasound.”
Makayla may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Makayla offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Makayla directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.
You can drive or fly to pick up your puppy from Makayla.

German Shepherd
About Vogue
Vogue is a very ball motivated dog, loves to learn new sports, play, and is very loving. She just started playing dock diving, agility, barn hunt, and fastcat.
Good health testing

German Shepherd
About Sarka
Sarka is a very nice, handler focused female! She is stable in all environments. However, she really doesn’t care for dog friends. She is fine around them, doesn’t like them in her space. She’s great with kids and LOVES to work! Fastcat, dock diving, barn hunt, obedience, and learning DPT for me.

German Shepherd
About Duska
Duska is a Czech/DDR working line, all black, medium drive female. She is very smart, willing to and loves to work, and can go all day long if asked to. Duska has an amazing off switch and is great around all other animals and humans. Duska is the number 1 lifetime fastest German shepherd on record, she’s in the top 10 for Dock Diving, and was in the top 10 in Barn Hunt for 2023 as well. She’s an amazing dog!
