Buckelwürmer German Shepherds

Makayla H.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Makayla H., the breeder behind Buckelwürmer German Shepherds located in Encampment, WY. We a small, family oriented breeder. We breed for health, temperament, & to preserve GSDs. Our pups are raised with puppy culture & are also evaluated for drive & needs before being placed with their new families. All our puppies will go to homes who are at least active! Sport homes are preferred!

Q. & A. with Makayla

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mom bred Shih Tzus growing up and loved the process. I decided, when I became an adult and fell in love with shepherds, that I wanted to better the breed and show people how well versed this breed can be.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are amazing all around. They will compete in IGP, and currently compete in companion AKC events. I am able to help match the perfect puppy to my buyers. I don't breed until they're titled and tested, and I keep all my breeding dogs in my home until they cross the rainbow bridge. They're cared for as a family member, and they don't live in kennels.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
