I'm Nicole B., the breeder behind Bunn Ranch Goldens & Bernese located in Harrisburg, NC. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. We offer well-rounded, healthy, high-drive Golden puppies who will excel in any adventure with their new family! Our dogs are intelligent, loving, and athletic, and they produce puppies who will thrive in an active lifestyle. We're passionate about these dogs and are careful to breed and raise our pups with only the best policies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeeding when my son was diagnosed with autism, and we learned about the cost of obtaining a service dog for him. It was my goal to help breed and train service dogs, so they were more affordable to those in need.

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our puppies are raised indoors around kids, cats, horses, and chickens. They are litter box trained by five weeks old, which helps make the potty training process. Easier when they leave. We also start crate training them prior to them leaving .

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are black rust and white. Golden Retriever puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Nicole

Nicole has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Nicole partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Your deposit will hold your place in line to pick, but we do not start picking until the puppies get a little bigger so we can see the size coloring and temperament on the puppy. All puppies will be picked based in order on when the deposits come in.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,500 - $5,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies are sold with limited AKC. No breeding rights in less specifically asked and spoken about. one year health guarantee vet checks and vaccines. We do offer puppies with full AKC to responsible breeders . ”

Contract & health guarantee

Nicole may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
