Meet the breeder

I'm Julie B., the breeder behind Burdigan Wheatens & Sealys located in Spokane, WA. My family and I breed, show and love dogs. I have been showing in dog shows since 1985 and breeding since 2005. We breed these wonderful dogs because of our love for the breed. Our goal is to produce healthy, top-quality pups while providing each of our puppy families with the support they need.

Q. & A. with Julie

  • Why did you start breeding?

After showing Wheatens for many years and getting my feet wet with several different Wheatens, I finally found the female that I wanted as my breeding foundation. Though breeding isn't for the faint at heart, our family loves each litter, playing and caring for each puppies and then seeing the families and how happy they are when they finally get to take their new bundle home.
  • What makes your program special?

Burdigan Wheatens, Josh and Julie, are reputable breeders that are transparent about their breeding program. We are NOT breeding dogs as a profit or a business. We breed dogs because we love the breed and will do everything in our power to protect the breed and preserve the structure and qualities that makes a Wheaten a Wheaten.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
