I'm Loree D., the breeder behind Bushveld Rhodesian Ridgebacks located in Aubrey, TX. Behind every well-bred Ridgeback is a dedicated breeder. Bushveld Rhodesian Ridgebacks is no exception. My husband, Mark, and I are the faces behind our dogs. Our love of Rhodesian Ridgebacks goes back to 2009 when we got our beautiful Leo, who is also the sire of this litter. We are small family breeders, who strongly believe in quality over quantity and health testing as recommended by the American Ridgeback club, RRCUS. Our dogs have the finest European and South African pedigrees and are rich in color with wonderful temperaments.
Q. & A. with Loree
What makes your program special?
We are small family breeders, striving to continue precious South African and European bloodlines in the lineage of our Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Our dogs are loving members of our family. They live in our home with us, travel with us, and are raised with great care and respect. This is why we focus on breeding dogs with outstanding temperaments. Importantly, our Rhodesian Ridgebacks are fully health tested as recommended by the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States. Our ridgeback puppies are born in our home and grow up there. Puppies are loved and handled, and around our family all day. We provide puppy enrichment and socialization with the typical ranch life including other dogs, animals such as horses, donkeys, and goats, and lots of grandchildren! We take great care to place each puppy and ensure they are going to a loving home where they will also be a forever beloved family member. I am always available for my puppies/dogs during their lifetime and have wonderful mentors with extensive networks and vast experience who are also there to help. I am a current member in good standing with our national breed club, RRCUS, and strictly adhere to their code of ethics.
