I'm Barbara Y., the breeder behind BZB Frenchies, Griffs & Long hair Chihuahuas located in Gastonia, NC. I’ve been married for 38 years, I have 2 daughters and 3 granddaughters. I’m a natural breeder that is very hands with my dogs that all live inside with me. My dogs are all trained and taught to be quiet as to barking. I start working with the pups and that behavior from beginning. I like to teach my dogs the way I want my own pets to behave.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I fell into breeding after purchasing my first French Bulldog. I was fortunate to find one of the best mentors and here I am today! I’ve had dogs my whole life, and I can’t image doing life without a dog in it. I love the French Bulldogs so much I breed them to keep them true to the breed. Brussels Griffons were close to extinction a few years back so I am bring this fabulous breed back healthy and natural to their breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    We focus on the health of parents before we even pair them. Once DNA is ran we make our paring to ensure healthy happy pups.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our Chihuahua puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Chihuahua puppies include chocolate, black sabled silver, blue brindled fawn, chocolate and tan, black and white, and black and silver. French Bulldog puppies include brindle, fawn, white and fawn, blue, black and white, black and tan, black, and blue fawn. Brussels Griffon puppies include wheaten, tan, black and tan, black, belge, and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Barbara

Barbara has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Barbara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“I take great care in placing my pups with the right family for them. My pups wellbeing is the most important when placing them. When I plan a litter it is planned. I cannot force nature.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $3,700 - $4,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price is based on breed of puppy requested. Each litter (breed) will only carry 4 spots on waitlist. Deposit holds puppy and pick, is non-refundable. Needs to be place once pregnacy confirmed (best time) to insure you a puppy. This is up to you when to place. I recommend once confirmed litter.”

Barbara may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     From start to finish Barbara was amazing. Responded within moments when we first reached out, answered all all questions. She sent us photos everyday, and communication was tremendous. You can tell she takes good care of her dogs, Pinky is so happy and loving from the start. Barbara met us at a convenient location and gave us a doggy goody bag, with food , treats , puppy pads and a bunch of other helpful things to get us started. Pinky was freshly bathed and nails clipped too! Pinky also had all shots and vaccinations, with verified paperwork.     Barbara was amazing throughout the entire process. From the beginning, she was very responsive and took the time to answer all of my questions, which made me feel a lot more comfortable as a first-time puppy owner. You can truly tell how much she cares about her dogs and the environment they are raised in. She kept me updated and reassured me about vaccinations and deworming, which meant a lot because I was a little nervous about everything being done correctly. When I finally got my puppy, he was healthy, playful, and clearly well taken care of. Even after bringing him home, she continued to check in and offer support, which shows how dedicated she is. This transition has been a big adjustment, but knowing I could reach out to her made it so much easier.
