I'm Dianna R., the breeder behind Calista Samoyeds located in Kalispell, MT. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. The loyalty and loving disposition of this breed are simply the best! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience raising their new family members.

Why did you start breeding?
I got my first Samoyed in 1988. Sheena and I attended obedience classes when she was puppy, I enjoyed the classes so much and so did Sheena. My 2nd Samoyed I got in 1994 after Sheena passed away. My 2nd Samoyed was Jasmine I got into AKC obedience and Agility with Jasmine. My husband wanted a male Samoyed that’s when we got Chinook and 3 years later we got Shania. I got into showing both of them. I was mentored by Chinook’s breederWhat makes your program special?
Our puppies are well socialized, they are introduced to different sounds and environment, before they leave my home. They are raised in the house not in a kennel. When they are 4-5 weeks they spend the day out in dining room were they get use to daily activities in the house. They have access to the porch off the dining room where they can go outside on the porch to play with each other. If weather is nice they can go outside into the yard to play. If it’s winter and snow is on the ground and temperatures are freezing they stay on the porch, they can come in and out as they want to the door is open during the day most of the time.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and biscuit, white, and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“All puppies have their first set of vaccinations, dewormed and I register puppies with the AKC. Deposit is non-refundable after 2 weeks if you change your mind on a puppy.”

Raynee is very inquisitive about anything she sees if it’s something new she has to go and check it out. She loves to cuddle up in a chair with you and take a nap. Her favorite spot is sleeping on her pillow on the bed.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
