Q. & A. with Terry
Why did you start breeding?
Both of us were brought up in families in which dogs were very much a part of the home and family structure. It was after the loss of a dog that we decided to research purebreds and began our 30+ year journey down the path of showing and breeding purebred dogs. We were introduced to Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs over 20 years ago and have since been dedicated to this beautiful, hard-working, affectionate breed. We work with passion, heart, integrity, and truly want what's best for the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog line.
What makes your program special?
This is where amazing temperament, intelligence, and beauty meet! Calypso has produced an amazing legacy of beautiful, loving dogs. Even with limited breedings, our girls have given us some great dogs—both in the show ring and as companions. Our goal is to continue to produce beautiful, correct, capable, mentally stable, and physically healthy Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs who become amazing additions to our Calypso family members.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
