Meet the breeder

I'm Katrina S., the breeder behind Canyon Meadows Farm located in Tacoma, WA. Our focus is on breeding healthy and happy puppies that can bring just as much joy to their families as our dogs do for us. We are very hands-on with our puppies and give them plenty of unconditional love and attention!

Q. & A. with Katrina

  • Why did you start breeding?

Both of our families raised animals all of our lives. Kevin got his first retriever when he was 12 yrs old and breeding with his family.
  • What makes your program special?

We only breed exceptionally well bred champion bloodlines dogs with optimal health, temperament and excellent confirmation. Our love for providing an outstanding family fur baby to our amazing clients for family pet, service and therapy dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Golden Retriever puppies include golden and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,500 deposit and between $1,500 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Prices are also posted on our website. Prices are subject to change. Deposit Details: http://canyonmeadowsfarm.com/id73.html Puppies are offered to clients in the order of deposits received. We recommend early deposits, especially if wanting specific breed, combination of parents, color/sex or timing. This will ensure you a more likely chance of getting exactly what you are looking for. People that are more flexible on sex and color are apt to get a puppy sooner than those that are more specific with sex or color.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
