Meet the breeder

I'm Amanda C., the breeder behind Carbone Canines located in Yorkville, IL. Our love for our dogs pushed us to begin breeding. We love to see the results of our efforts in the sweet, happy, and healthy puppies that we’re able to share with others.

Q. & A. with Amanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I used to groom at a vets office. A Bernese there stole my heart the day I first met her. She is the reason I got Dozer. Seeing his temperament and how amazing he was with my boys made me decide to start breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

All my Bernese are raised inside my home. The parents are my babies. Puppies are also raised inside. As soon as they’re old enough they get to hang out with the rest of the family. They get used to home life at an early age.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black rust and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Carbone Canines responded to our application quickly and was available to meet very soon after we put down our deposit. Amanda was very knowledgeable about the breed and provided so much information related to the pup’s bloodline, history and health. We are so glad we found her!
