I'm Cheri H., the breeder behind Cascade Samoyeds located in Coeur D Alene, ID. I've owned Samoyeds since 1981 and bred my first litter in 1991. I am an AKC Silver Breeder of Merit. I generally breed 1 litter a year from health-tested parents. I strive to make sure every owner has the ability to get the very best out of their puppy. I am a member of the Samoyed Club of America and the Samoyed Club of Washington State.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    After owning Samoyeds for 10 years, I bred my first litter. Since then, I've generally had one to two litters per year. The majority of my dogs become family members, while some have excelled in conformation and dog sports.
  • What makes your program special?

    I put in all the work, learning, love, and care to ensure I am breeding healthy, well-rounded dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Cheri

Puppy prices include a $1,000 refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $2,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
