I'm Susie W., the breeder behind Cavapoos of the Carolinas located in Aiken, SC. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities.
Q. & A. with Susie
Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to experience the process of breeding and actually have a vicarious experience with my much loved, female Miniature Poodle, Honey. Before you get weirded out about that- I absolutely loved being pregnant, nursing my babies, raising my babies etc. So I wanted to give that experience of love, connection and family to my beloved pet. It's an incredible blessing to take part in the creation experience. Additionally, I desired to share the experience with my home schooled children.. Well, I fell in love with the process, the puppies and the family of dog children we've weaved into our family life. We are SO blessed.
What makes your program special?
What makes our breeding program special is that it's never been about making the money. We started this for the love of our pets and children. We actually only asked $300 for each of our first Cavapoo litter because we were in it for the experience. We absolutely love and spoil our dogs. That's why we keep it small and focus on quality instead of quantity. We consider our furs our family, not our income earning commodities.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, blenheim, and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
