Meet the breeder

I'm Kata M., the breeder behind Cave Canis Kennels located in Hendersonville, NC. We breed top, versatile Wirehaired Vizslas. Our dogs have passing health scores & are active, proven hunters. Our puppies begin with ENS and Puppy Head Start program. They're potty/crate & recall trained - giving them a confident, well-rounded foundation for both home and field.

Q. & A. with Kata

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding because I care deeply about preserving the Wirehaired Vizsla as a truly versatile dog. I became very particular about health, structure, and temperament, and instead of just owning great dogs, I wanted to thoughtfully produce them. Breeding allows me to contribute to the future of the breed, not just enjoy it.
  • What makes your program special?

Working with aggressive cases inspired me to dive deeper into puppy development and early learning. Through my research, I created a comprehensive program that combines the Bio Sensor/ENS protocol with a structured Puppy Head Start program. This thoughtful foundation is designed to build confident, resilient, and well-balanced “super puppies” from the very beginning.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
