Quick puppy update 🐾 All the pups are officially 6 weeks old and doing amazing. They’ve had their vet visits, and they’re currently going through their ear-taping sessions. Some have already had their ears taped and taken down, and they’ll be taped back up as needed as part of the process. They’ve hit a lot of important milestones already, and they’re thriving. In just a couple more weeks, the puppies will start going to their forever homes around February 8th. Every pup has a great home lined up with loving, responsible parents. Halima is the only one still looking for her forever home. She’s a beautiful girl—very playful, affectionate, and confident. She’s definitely the little leader and big sister of the group, and truly a blessing.

Puppy Update: First Steps Into the Big Food World 🐾 These videos show the puppies being introduced to mush food during their transitional phase. They’re right at one month old, which is a big milestone—this is when they start shifting from relying mostly on mama to learning how to eat on their own. This wasn’t their very first time trying mush, but it was early in the process. As you’ll see, reactions vary: Some jumped right in like, “Oh yeah, this is happening.” Others were more skeptical—sniffing it, tasting it, then giving me the side-eye like, “You sure about this?” Totally normal. Puppies develop at their own pace. Fast forward to now: These videos were taken a couple days ago, and as of yesterday and today, they’re much quicker, more confident, and downright eager to eat. The mush is gradually getting thicker and more solid, and before long they’ll be transitioning into solid kibble as their teeth continue coming in. As those teeth erupt, I’ll keep adjusting the texture of their food—making it tougher over time to help strengthen their jaws and teeth naturally. What’s in the mush? Their current diet (alongside mama’s milk) is a carefully balanced mix of: High-quality kibble Purified water Puppy milk replacement formula Dry puppy milk powder A special puppy mousse (pâté-style wet food) Everything is blended to support growth, digestion, and a smooth transition away from nursing. About Mama Atzi ❤️ Atzi is doing an outstanding job—no surprises there. She’s an attentive, loving, and reliable mother. She feeds them regularly, checks in constantly, sleeps with them at night, and makes it very clear when it’s time for me to step in. She’s not withholding, not stressed, and not checked out—just doing what great moms do. This is the stage where she slowly steps back and I step forward. She’s still very involved, but the pups are now learning independence, and I take on more of the daily care and structure. All in all, they’re right where they should be—curious, growing, and getting stronger every day. More updates coming as they continue leveling up. 🐶💪

Caught the whole crew together—and yeah, they know how to work the camera already. My wife took the these excellent photos. These pups are officially in that fun (and busy) stage. They’re eating solid food like champs, using the potty really well, and while they still sleep a good chunk of the day (as they should), their uptime is now full throttle—active, curious, and demanding attention. Right now, they’re hitting key milestones: Confidently eating solids and beginning the weaning process from mama Longer, more alert wake windows with lots of play Strong social engagement with littermates and people Comfortable with handling, touch, baths, and nail care On the socialization front, we’re laying the foundation: Daily exposure to music, different sounds, and instruments Exploring new textures and surfaces Constant gentle handling to build trust and resilience Sensory enrichment to support confidence and curiosity Over the next couple of weeks, socialization will ramp up even more as their personalities continue to shine. Right now, they’re learning how to be dogs—together, confident, and curious. The gang is growing fast, and they’re doing exactly what they should be doing at this stage. 💪🐶

Here are some videos of the puppies as they continue to grow and thrive. They’re becoming very playful now, and their little personalities are really starting to shine. You’ll see them enjoying bath time, getting their nails clipped, playing in their playpen, and doing great with their puppy pads. They’re also drinking water well and settling nicely into their daily routine. The puppies are on a structured schedule and doing excellent with it — waking up together, going to sleep together, and even pottying around the same times. They’re sleeping well through the night and waking up ready to start their day and program. I’m already noticing personality differences emerging: some are more vocal, some quieter, some more energetic, and a few calm, laid-back pups who are content hanging in the background. As the days go by, I’ll continue to share updates, including videos of them eating and progressing even more. This is just a nice one-month milestone update, and I’m very proud of how well they’re doing.

🐾 CenCalXolo Puppy Update – 8 Days Old 🐾 Our toy Xoloitzcuintli pups are officially 8 days old and growing exactly how you want to see it — solid, steady, and healthy. Fun facts at 8 days old: By this age, toy Xolos are usually at or near double their birth weight — and these little ones are right on track. Eyes are still closed, but they should begin cracking open between days 10–14. Hearing hasn’t kicked in yet, but they already recognize mom by scent and touch. Xolo pups run warm — even this young they love piling together for heat like a tiny, hairless cuddle puddle. Size & weight comparison: At 8 days, toy Xolo pups are roughly the size of a plump hamster or small guinea pig, but heavier than they look thanks to dense little bodies and strong bone for such a fine breed. When you pick them up now, you can feel the difference — more substance, fuller bellies, and stronger movement during feedings. They’re still in the eat–sleep–grow phase, but growth spurts are happening daily, and it shows. These babies are filling out beautifully and doing exactly what well-started toy Xolos should do. Next milestone coming up fast: eyes opening, stronger crawling, and the first hints of personality. 🐶✨

Our family feels blessed with a new dog family member that came to our life after being born, nurtured, cared for lovingly and diligently by Ricardo and his family. We are incredibly grateful for a healthy, happy, and emotionally stable puppy who has already brought us so much joy, purpose, and responsibility that we gladly accept. We have a highest regard for Ricardo's care. We would highly recommend his puppies to anyone and may even consider adopting another family member from him in the future if we are lucky to have such opportunity.

We had a great experience. Ricardo and his family are wonderful people. You can tell they really love their dogs and puppies. Ricardo frequently updated us regarding our growing sweet puppy Cleo. He sent pictures, videos, and told us all about her personality and any new experiences. Cleo was treated with love and kindness which made her a well adjusted puppy. She was crate trained and well on her way to being potty trained when we picked her up. I would highly recommend Ricardo's Pups!

I am utterly overjoyed to share my experience with Ricardo and his wonderful breeding service at Ricardo’s Pups. Our delightful mini Xoloitzcuintli, Nara, is settling into our home with such ease, it's as if she was meant to be with us all along. Ricardo’s outstanding support and communication throughout the adoption process have been instrumental in this seamless transition. The genuine care Ricardo shows for his pups is a rare find. He truly loves them, and it's been an extraordinary journey seeing that love extend to us as Nara joined our family. His regular updates with photos and videos kept the excitement alive and helped us feel connected to Nara from the very first day. Nara herself is a bundle of joy – she adores cuddles, is always ready for playtime, and has formed an inseparable bond with our other dog. Her quirky little personality shines through in everything she does, bringing laughter and happiness into our home daily. She's not just a pet; she's a companion, a source of endless entertainment and comfort. A huge thank you to Ricardo for his dedication to his pups and the love he spreads through them. His commitment to early socialization has truly paid off, making Nara a well-adjusted, sociable, and utterly charming addition to our family. We feel incredibly blessed to have such an exceptional dog. Much love and heartfelt thanks to Ricardo and his family! ---
