Meet the breeder

I'm Julie B., the breeder behind Central Coast German Shepherds located in Paso Robles, CA. We feature some of the most renowned West German Show Working Bloodlines in the world! We offer exceptional Family companion, agility, service, protection, obedience, therapy puppies & top show or breeding prospects. We breed with purpose and are changing lives one dog at a time.

Q. & A. with Julie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up on a small ranch raising pigs, poultry, cattle, horses and dogs, showing in the county and state fairs. We purchased our first U.S. Bred German Shepherd in 1999. Over the years of breeding we have changed our breeding program to only include German Imported Breeding Stock due to the desire to continue to maintain the integrity, purpose and health of the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

All of our breeding dogs come from Germany and are West German Lines. Germany requires ALL breeding dogs to pass health, endurance, obedience testing and have sound minds before a dog can be bred in Germany. We are a small hobby breeder allowing us to provide an in-home program that offers individual care and curriculum for each puppy during critical imprinting stages.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include stock, plush, and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and red and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Central Coast German Shepherds breeders is a great choice for finding your new fur baby. Julie Bennett is very knowledgeable, professional, and caring breeder. Our new puppy is adjusting to our home, and has not exhibited any separation anxiety, or fear of any loud noises. He is very friendly to other dogs, people and children. We are socializing him to ensure he stays a well behaved and healthy member of the family. We've changed his name to Boomer Reaux, but we just call him Boomer. Our thanks go out to Julie and Central Coast German Shepherd breeders.
