I'm Erika M., the breeder behind Century Farms located in Eldon, MO. We have very strong goals for preserving the German Shepherd Dog for what it is and once was: a strong nerved, sound and noble working dog. We focus our breeding on temperament first and foremost. We strive to improve the health and longevity of the German Shepherd!
Q. & A. with Erika
Why did you start breeding?
My goal is to promote and better this wonderful breed. The German Shepherd Dog has a valiant and worthy past, and I hope to continue this heritage. The lines we have chosen are used in the work field, police K-9's, service dogs, companions with families, and in the show ring. We are committed to a better breed with continuous education on hereditary and health issues.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are well cared for and are well mannered which makes them a pleasure to be around. We always do our best to provide hardy, healthy, and happy puppies. We feel that in order to better the breed as a whole, it takes a lot of careful thought and examining of their lineage. We are involved in the ongoing study and research of Genetics to strengthen our knowledge of the German Shepherd Dog.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
