I'm Brenda P., the breeder behind Cheshire Old English Sheepdogs located in Fargo, ND. Our program is dedicated to only breeding dogs that we know are exemplary representations of the AKC standard and will make a positive contribution to their line and to the families who love them. We care deeply about our dogs and puppies, and we want only the best for them and for our buyers.

Why did you start breeding?
I always wanted the opportunity to have puppies. I love this breed so much. They are fun, loving, cuddly, and just a fantastic house dog. Great for families. Willing to go anywhere and do almost anything!
What makes your program special?
We start with the best Sire and Dam we can find. All health clearances recommended by OESCA. Judged for conformation in the ring. When the pups are born, we start training at 3 days old with early neurological testing and work with the puppies daily. We utilize the Puppy Culture protocol to raise the most calm and unflappable dogs. Our dogs make great family pets, therapy dogs, performance dogs, or emotional support animals in addition to being good herders.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Brenda

Brenda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Brenda partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes Well Puppy check by veterinarian, BAER hearing evaluation, CERF eye exam, Puppy Culture training, puppy socialization, AKC Registration and microchipping. All puppies are the same price.”

Contract & health guarantee

Brenda may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Angus
Angus is the sweetest OES ever. It was his temperament that made us fall in love with the Enchant line. He quickly started winning in the ring and won his first Best in Specialty Show at the prestigious Rose City Classic. He is now a Grand Champion and has his Therapy Dog and Canine Good Citizen titles to boot! Angus has the distinction of producing another of our dogs, Murphy, who is also a Grand Champion. We expect this litter to be gorgeous.

Zara is a very very special girl. She is the result of over 75 years of breeding experience from world renowned International judge and breeder, Eleonore Singer. Zara is the only female from the last litter she will ever breed. She is already living up to her princess crown, taking a Group 3 as a 4-6 month puppy and a NOHS Group 4 in her first big girl show! I imported Zara from Vienna. I fell in love with the Enchant line with my male Angus. Angus, or Best in Specialty Show winning Grand Champion Wynward’s Chosen One CGC, TKN is my boy Murphy’s Sire. Angus' Sire is CH Enchant Han Solo.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA), Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
