I'm the breeder behind Chimera Irish Setters located in Alexandria, IN. I run a passionate & dedicated breeding program that produces dogs with excellent working drives, conformation, & temperaments. My dogs can compete in many venues such as the show ring, obedience, hunt tests, and field trials. I provide OFA certification on all recommended tests. My top priority is producing a healthy, happy dog that is a long member of the family.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved dogs and was excited to establish my breeding program. I have loved the journey and I am a proud breeder of Chimera Irish Setters with a focus on temperament, and the overall mental and physical health of my puppies. I love placing happy, healthy puppies with loving families.
What makes your program special?
I breed to produce dual Irish Setters that can compete in any venue their owner wants to enter. I am passionate about loving and preparing all of my puppies to excel in any adventure with their new family.

Puppy prices include a $300 refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
