I'm Kristen S., the breeder behind Cinnabar Brussel's Griffons located in Waterford Township, MI. Our dogs are bred for health and temperment first and foremost. Secondly we breed to improve the breed according to the breed standard. Our breeding stock are shown and health tested before being bred. Our bloodline is carefully considered and protected.
Q. & A. with Kristen
Why did you start breeding?
I started with my first show bitch named 'Bubbles'. She was a beautiful red rough girl. I taught myself how to hand strip a Griffon using her. I bred her and held a puppy back that I named 'Jolie'. I loved that little dog so much. I learned about the heartache of losing a beloved pet from my sweet Jolie.
What makes your program special?
We raise our puppies in our home and expose them to many different situations as they mature. They get groomed, regularly learning how to stand and get their nails done form a young age. We use different sounds, balancing tools and dogs to help then adjust to different scenarios.
Our breeding stock are health tested and closely considered when breeding.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and tan, red, and belge. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
