Meet the breeder

I'm Fran T., the breeder behind Classic Setters located in Hartsburg, MO. We are a small breeding program striving to produce top-quality, Ryman type English Setters like George Ryman may have bred years ago. We offer quality-bred hunting dogs from dams and sires with health clearances. They make great companions but we strive to also produce great hunting dogs so puppies are only available to hunting homes. They typically naturally point, back and retrieve with exposure to birds in the field. They will adjust their range to the cover from the grouse woods to the open prairies. We hand raise our puppies to ensure a reliable temperament and wonderful companionship. We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make sure each puppy has the potential to be a star out in the field as well as your best buddy at home.
