I'm Vicki C., the breeder behind Coastal Peaks Tibetan Spaniel Breeder located in Leicester, NC. Our dogs are bred to have top qualities that all families want in their puppies, such as compassion, patience, and love! We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities. Our puppies will be AKC registered, microchipped and have their first Vet check including Vaccinations and deworming before going to their new homes.
Q. & A. with Vicki
Why did you start breeding?
With a background as a compassionate hospice nurse, I have always been driven by a deep sense of care and empathy. This intrinsic love for nurturing extends to my dogs, where I discovered a unique bond with the Tibetan Spaniel breed. Fifteen years ago I adopted my first "Tibby" and two years ago, I welcomed a new member to my family, a lively and affectionate Tibetan Spaniel named Bijou. Bijou has since become an ambassador for the breed's joyful and intelligent nature.
What makes your program special?
At Coastal Peaks, we are committed to preserving and promoting the unique qualities of the Tibetan Spaniel breed. I am dedicated to breeding healthy, well-tempered dogs and educating others about the breed's benefits, ensuring that my dogs find loving, responsible homes.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“I have reduced the price on my puppies as they are getting older and I really want good homes for these pups. For me its never been about the money. It is about giving Tibetan Spaniels more recognition. They are wonderful dogs. So, weather you are a show person or you just want a sweet, smart companion, Tibbies are the best. These puppies were sire by "Zemi", a winner of Best in Breed at Westminister this year. These are outstanding pups. This price includes health check, AKC registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming and microchip. All puppies are the same price regardless of size or sex. They will all go home with AKC registration and microchip.”

About Bijou
Bijou, the adorable Tibetan Spaniel, truly lives up to her name, which means "little jewel" in French. She's gentle, adores playing in the backyard with her doggy pals, and is AKC registered with all breed health tests completed. Coming from a show-winning background, Bijou has excelled in advanced obedience training and was enrolled in conformation classes before her pregnancy. With her loving temperament, she's set to be an amazing mom when her first litter arrives at the end of April.

Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
Coastal Peaks Tibetan Spaniel Breeder reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Tibetan Spaniels.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA3, Tibetan Terrier and Spaniel Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
