I'm Thomas and Shannon G., the breeder behind Cornerstone Border Terriers located in Coleman, OK. Our dogs are bred with the intent to improve the breed as a whole. It is our goal to maintain the health and structural standards set forth by the Border Terrier Club of America. Our dogs are bred with a focus on conformation, and every one of them are happy, healthy pets first.

Why did you start breeding?
When I got Sophie (my foundation girl), I was tickled to death to finally get a Border Terrier. I had wanted one for years and just wanted a show dog. I was listening to a podcast called Pure Dog Talk and they were speaking about how if younger people do not step up and begin breeding, some of these breeds we love will be gone. We have begun to grow from there.What makes your program special?
I believe the heart behind my program is what makes it special. Every puppy has a piece of me in them. The time, effort, planning, and love that goes into each one is notable.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

"The price of the puppy includes prepaid AKC registration, prepaid microchip registration, the first set of shots, and up-to-date deworming. Also in my contract, I offer a buy-back guarantee. All of our puppies are the same price. It is fully refundable. The deposit contract available upon request for review. I request we speak on the phone before agreeing to add someone to the wait list."

About Regan
Regan is a good boy who loves to play with empty milk jugs of all things. We buy him nice toys but he still prefers the empty milk jugs. :-) He loves to entertain himself while in the house by throwing toys in the air and catching them and snuggling on our recliners with us.

About Agnes
Agnes is a bundle of fun. Her favorite activity is mix and opposite. She loves to play fetch with her wubba and she also enjoys piling up on the couch and relaxing. She is a born show dog and loves to strut her stuff in the ring. Agnes is clear on SLEM and we plan to have the rest of her health clearances done in the next few months.

About Sophie
Sophie is a female Border Terrier. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Thomas and Shannon decided to make her part of their program. Thomas and Shannon has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Parent health testing
Excellent level
Cornerstone Border Terriers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Border Terriers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Spongiform Leukoencephalomyelopathy (SLEM)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
