I'm Tamera L., the breeder behind Country Charm Chihuahuas located in Ligonier, IN. All my dogs are AKC champions or championlined. My puppies are sold as pets without papers unless otherwise advertised as full akc in listing or if discussed with buyer to pay an extra charge for the papers . Sometimes I can accommodate such requests on certain puppies.
I will be a life long contact for any and all questions and needs of the buyer. I wont leave anyone that needs help raising one of my puppies. Many of my clients become life long friends.
Q. & A. with Tamera
Why did you start breeding?
I had a neighbor that asked me to take in a rescue Chihuahua, and the more I got to know the breed, the more I took in and rescued and found homes for. I fell in love with them, and with the breed. I started learning about good and bad breeding and wanted to start breeding to better the breed and also preserve and protect the history of the breed.
What makes your program special?
I think what makes my breeding program special is that my dogs are raised within my home and are considered a part of the family. Each and every puppy that is born here is handled, loved, and well socialized from the time they are born to the time they leave if they do. Also we do extra health testing specialized for the Chihuahua Breed.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include long and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, cream, fawn, red, black sabled fawn, blue fawn, and cream and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
