Meet the breeder

I'm Jennifer S., the breeder behind Covenant English Setters located in Victoria, TX. We are a selective breeding program focused on ensuring the health, temperament, and breed standard of these incredible dogs. We are very involved in showing, and we are so proud of our dogs' conformation and movement in the ring. When we breed, we are careful with our selections so that we can produce beautiful, healthy, and structurally sound puppies.

Q. & A. with Jennifer

  • Why did you start breeding?

We started in Gordon Setters in the early 90's, but we quickly transitioned to English Setters in 1995 due to their undeniable elegance, beauty, and amazing qualities as a family companion. We had our first litter in 2000 and have loved breeding ever since. Life is just not complete without an English Setter's warming hearth and heart!
  • What makes your program special?

We breed selectively and infrequently, as we primarily breed for ourselves and share these wonderful dogs with a select few families and individuals. We discuss a lot of factors with potential buyers to ensure the best homes and compatibility possible for our puppies. When you get a puppy from us, you will know that it's because you are the perfect fit!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
