I'm Nick B., the breeder behind CW Legacy Vizslas located in Beeville, TX. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on conformation, athleticism and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful, healthy family pets and strong field companions. We utilize OFA health testing to screen our dogs for genetic defects because we care!

Why did you start breeding?
After losing our first Vizsla "Whiskey" to cancer at an early age we set out to find the highest quality dogs available. We then decided to use our dogs to produce puppies with the best genetics and temperaments possible so that others can enjoy the best of this exquisite breed.What makes your program special?
We utilize several resources to determine which dogs to breed and how to pair them. We own both the dames and the sires and have OFA health certificates and full AKC registrations for our dogs. Each litter is planned with care to produce the strongest puppies possible while being mindful of the impact on the dames. We aren't a "puppy mill", we are dog owners that care!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are golden rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Nick
Nick has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Nick partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“With most litters we will assist you in selecting a puppy once we can monitor and test temperance. With this litter being only 3 pups you can choose right away.”
Price
“The price includes tails docked, dew claws removed, all relevant shots given the age of the puppy, and full AKC registration rights. Males are $1200, females $1500. You can place a deposit for both a specific dog or first rights to a gender. Selections start at 5 weeks.”

Nick may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Bourbon
Bourbon is very gentle and well-mannered. He loves to hunt and track. He probably wishes he was born a fish as he loves to be in the lake swimming or splashing around catching water drops. He is comfortable both indoor and outdoor. His calm demeanor makes him wonderful around people and other dogs and he's great with children and puppies. Bourbon most assuredly lets us know when danger is near. He is AKC registered with all of the recommended health testing, including OFA certified hips, elbows, and thyroid panel.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
