I'm Gwendolyn D., the breeder behind Dacherri Dogs located in Sacramento, CA. Our dogs are bred for to the German Shepherd Standards of appearance, health, temperament, and intelligence. Q. & A. with Gwendolyn

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started raising and training mostly East German Working Line German Shepherds forty years ago. I have studied the standards to all five lines of GSDs.
  • What makes your program special?

My female is a direct import from the Czech Republic. She is a great foundation dog with seven generations of dogs that have been screened for hips and elbows and all have sport titles. My male is also a direct import from WUSV lines. His father is a Czech Nationals champion. I sometimes use other studs to produce more balanced dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black and red, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
