Meet the breeder

I'm Sarah D., the breeder behind Dakota Pomskies located in Corsica, SD. Our goal is to produce the healthiest puppies possible with wonderful temperaments. We prioritize a high level of health testing for our parent dogs and are among the first Pomsky breeders to do so. Having only a handful of dogs, our puppies are well-socialized and ready for any adventure!

Q. & A. with Sarah

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have been breeding dogs since 2003. Both my husband and I have loved and had animals around us growing up, so it was a natural fit. I even wanted to be a vet when I was a child! We love to see the joy and happiness that our puppies bring to their new families. That is one of the main reasons that we do what we do! We are honored if we can complete your family, or add to it in a positive way.
  • What makes your program special?

One of our main goals in our breeding program is to produce healthy puppies that not only have wonderful family temperaments, but that are also gorgeous. We pride ourselves in keeping only a handful of dogs in our home so that they get plenty of attention throughout their lives. We also have young children that interact with the puppies daily, ensuring that they are extremely well socialized.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include toy, mini, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include wolf sable, silver and white, gray and white, white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

This was such a great experience from beginning to end! We were immediately comfortable working with Sarah from the extensive amount of information she provided on her profile about herself and each individual dog. We live in Ohio and had a friend travel to get our puppy and she was very accommodating with any uncertainties or changes to schedule. Once our puppy came home, we couldn’t believe how well-behaved she has been! Sarah & Dakota Pomskies really care about their work and I’d highly recommend them.

We had such a good experience working with Sarah. She was very accommodating and flexible with our schedules as we had a lot going on the weeks leading up to picking up our new puppy. She gave us everything we needed to make it a smooth transition for Jetts (Jasper). Thank you Sarah for all of your help!

Dakota Pomskies was quick to respond and very helpful throughout the process. They were also kind enough to drive our pup closer to Minnesota for pick up. We absolutely adore Haku and would definately recommend them as a breeder!
