Kristin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Kristin partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“I take great pride in matching the correct puppy to the correct home! I don't want to place a higher drive, working prospect puppy in a home that doesn't need or want that level of dog. I do preliminary temperament testing around 5 weeks and again, a formal temperament testing is done at 6 weeks. I will then compile a list of prospects that fit the buyer's needs and wants and give them a choice for puppies that match their requirements for a puppy. ”

“Also included are AKC puppy litter registration, a vet check, microchip, all deworming and shots, a health guarantee, contract, and daily training of your puppy. All deposits are non-refundable, but fully transferable to a future litter. All puppies from a breeding are priced the same, not based on gender/color/registration.”
Kristin may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Kristin offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Kristin directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

Working Line vs. Show Line German Shepherds — What’s the Difference? I get this question all the time, so let’s break it down clearly and simply. First — both are German Shepherds. Both can be wonderful dogs. But they were selectively bred with different priorities in mind. 🔹 Working Line GSD • Bred for work & protection • Balanced drive & energy • Typically more intense, task-oriented, and thrive with a job • Selected for performance ability, nerve, and functional structure These dogs excel in sport (PSA, IGP, police K9, SAR), protection work, and active homes that understand drive and structure. 🔸 Show Line GSD • Bred for shows & conformation competitions • Steadier temperament overall • Selected to meet breed standard appearance in the show ring • Often lower working intensity compared to true working lines These dogs are typically bred with an emphasis on movement, structure for the ring, and presentation. ✨ Here’s the important part: Neither is “better.” They are just different tools for different jobs. The real question isn’t “Which one is better?” It’s “Which one fits your lifestyle, goals, and experience level?” If you want a serious working partner with real drive and purpose — a true working line may be right for you. If you want a dog primarily for companionship with moderate activity — a show line may be a better fit. *There will always be at least one or two pet quality puppies in EVERY litter, even if both parents are working dogs.* As always, choose a breeder who prioritizes health testing, temperament, and honest transparency. If you’ve been wondering which direction is right for you, drop your goals in the comments 👇 I’m happy to help guide you. — Ironbound German Shepherds 🐾

Big news! 🌟 We’re officially rebranding from Himmelshunde to Ironbound German Shepherds. Why the change? “Himmelshunde” translates to “heavenly dogs,” which made creating clear branding tricky—it could unintentionally suggest something had happened to our dogs, and that’s never the message we want to send. With Ironbound German Shepherds, our name now fully reflects our commitment to producing strong, well-rounded working dogs while giving us the clean, professional branding we’ve always envisioned. 💪🐾 Same passion. Same dogs. New name. Welcome to the next chapter with us!

Come with me to try out a PR package 📦 from @dentalfreshpets. We got the entire water additive set that helps to reduce plaque and tartar buildup just by adding a capful into their water daily. 💦 With having working dogs, it is super important to take their dental health seriously. That is why I recently added this really nice water additive into their dental hygiene routine to kick it up a notch and ensure that I am doing everything possible to maintain nice, healthy teeth 🦷 I don’t want to be spending out thousands on titanium caps unless it’s absolutely necessary and that’s where top notch dental care comes in.

This sweet, bicolor boy is Neiko aka Solomon from my Maestro x Valkyrie pairing. He has been working on his obedience and protection training and is a STUNNING example of what you get when these dogs are trained properly.

Kristin was incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Everything felt so seamless and well organized, making the experience truly effortless. We are absolutely blown away by our puppy’s temperament and drive - you can tell these dogs come from outstanding bloodlines. The quality and care Kristin put into her breeding program is evident in every way, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a while bread, solid, German Shepherd. You won’t be disappointed!

Hello! John D. Barrow from Pleasant Hill, Iowa. In Richmond, Kentucky I met Miss Wilkerson in person on June 6, 2025 to pick up my sweet, new fur baby, "Gustav". Miss Wilkerson had this sweet baby boy listed as "Noah" on Good Dog. He has five brothers and one sister from his litter. His dad is named Maestro. Miss Wilkerson drove my new puppy and his beautiful mommy, Valkyrie, all the way from her home or kennel an hour or so away to meet me at my hotel room. She had all of Gustav's puppy papers in neat order. She was very nice! She has been communicating with me a lot since I reserved Gustav about a month ago. I think Gustav will grow up to be a noble, beautiful and loyal German Shepherd dog. His mother is a true looker! I have dreamed of owning my very own solid black German Shepherd Dog for about 15 years now as they are the true kings of domestic dogs. I finally acquired more than enough money through a recent knee injury settlement to make this pretty boy possible in my otherwise lonely life. Dogs are so much nicer as friends than people. Grown up, he will appear scary like any big black leopard to any cowardly punk on the street who might otherwise try to hurt me. Gustav is very sweet and cuddly especially for a male German Shepherd puppy. Some people claim retrievers are cuddlier and sweeter than Shepherds and that bitches have a more gentle personality, but Gustav is about as affectionate as any Labrador puppy I've ever owned in the past, male or female. Since German Shepherds are often for protection, it is actually a good thing they won't readily cuddle up to strangers like Lab or Golden retrievers often do. Retrievers have been known to hold flashlights for home burglars. I believe Kristin chose the right puppy from the litter for me personally through temperament testing. I traveled by automobile long and hard to score this precious little fur baby and it was a fun adventure in doing so. Some times the best things in life take some effort to truly come by. Gustav is worth much more than his weight in gold to bring him all the home in central Iowa!
