Meet the breeder

I'm lisa S., the breeder behind Dark Trail Redbones located in Hunlock Creek, PA. We breed well-rounded dogs for work and for responsible companion homes. Our dogs excel in a variety of fields. We produce litters that are healthy and sound. Our puppies have the temperament to be amazing family members and the drive and trainability to do the job they were bred to do.

Q. & A. with lisa

  • Why did you start breeding?

I bought a puppy, the breeder got me into showing, then when my pup was old enough I bred him to my bitch. The litter was gorgeous and I was hooked!
  • What makes your program special?

I just do not breed to BREED,, we take pride in our breedings, we are constantly looking to better the breed. We take pride in our pups, I also keep in touch with my puppy owners. I also love to watch all their journeys in life. We also understand that things in life happen and we do however take our pups back if an owner can no longer care for said pup/dog, no questions asked, we love them all..
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
