Meet the breeder

I'm Ashley P., the breeder behind Daybreak Doodles located in South Jordan, UT. We are dedicated to providing a wonderful addition to any family! Our doodles are bred with health, personality and coat in mind.

Q. & A. with Ashley

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our dam, Dolly, is such a loving and wonderful dog that I felt she would be a great mother and pass down those traits to her pups. She is the reason we bred. We have had many people tell us they wished they had a dog like her, so it felt like a natural decision when we met Goose, who was a great personality and genetic match.
  • What makes your program special?

At Daybreak Doodles, the pups are raised in our homes as part of our family! They have been exposed to Early Neural Stimulation, tactile stimulation, crate training, different environments, potty training, and children since the very beginning. This is all done to help the pups be as versatile and calm as possible in any environment.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include petite and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot, black, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Good level

Daybreak Doodles reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Goldendoodles.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type, von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), PRA, Golden Retriever 2, PRA, Golden Retriever 1, Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
