Amie F.

Breeder of Goldendoodles and Newfoundlands

Meet the breeder

I'm Amie F., the breeder behind Deep Canyon Puppies located in Riggins, ID. We do our best to socialize and acclimate each litter so we’re able to offer all-around healthy and well-mannered puppies! Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

Q. & A. with Amie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always enjoyed animal rearing, so when we got our female goldendoodle I just knew breeding was what I wanted to do. Then I became ill. we were in training for school therapy work with her when she began allerting me, so we transitioned over to service work. I began to deeply know the need for service and therapy dogs, and I knew that was the type of dogs I wanted to bring into this world.
  • What makes your program special?

We pair dogs based on health and temparment We follow the Badass Breeder curriculum. We begin early scent introductions and early neurological stimulation at 3 days old. This is especially important with dogs who may become working dogs. From there we begin exposure to children and different sounds, touch, and sights as they grow. We imprint a lifesaving call as soon as they are on solid food.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Goldendoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Goldendoodle puppies include cream and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
