I'm Denise W., the breeder behind Deestraum German Shepherds located in Southgate, MI. Our puppies are raised in our home and come with a written hip and health guarantee. Their parents are AKC registered and OFA cleared. They have a unique blending of European to American lines. We are very proud of our dogs and our program.
Q. & A. with Denise
Why did you start breeding?
Produced my first litter in 1983. Under the direction of my mentors. After doing all necessary health checks on my female.
What makes your program special?
We breed for correct structure per the AKC standard, and correct working temperament. I strive for a dog that can win in both rings - a 'thinking' dog - with correct body type and no deviations from the standard. Also we OFA certify all our dogs' hips and elbows, and PennHip certify.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include stock and plush coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
